46. Large Hand-Painted Pot by Hussein Ali Zobea

Beautifully hand-painted and varnished ceramic pot by talented Iraq born artist Hussein Ali Zobea.

Hussein was born in Iraq, graduated from Bagdad Art University in 1979 and went on to become a visual art teacher at a tertiary level.

War and the situation in Iraq have changed his view and feelings about the beautiful city - which was his former home.Through his paintings he tries to remember the culture in it's beauty.

Drawing from his love of Australian Indigenous art and experimenting with a combination of his own personal styles, he creates unique pieces such as this.
