About the artist

Georgina Simmonds has taught drawing and art history at RMIT and Monash, and graphics at Tasmanian TAFE. She has exhibited in numerous exhibitions around Australia, including Bid for Freedom 1 and 2. 

Georgina has completed a Diploma in Illustration (RMIT), a Graduate Diploma in Applied Science, Computer Graphics (Monash). 

She is a long time activist supporting refugees and current convener of the fabulous Grandmothers for Refugees.
