Play Date Description
Play Date - part experiential, boutique artwork; part desperate attempt by the artist to make friends.
You’ll begin with a casual get-to-know-you chat with the artist. Then, at a time convenient for all involved, you’ll head out for a day of activities curated by the artist, based on your interests and the whims of the artist (within the limitations of budget, weather and time). After your (hopefully, no promises) lovely day together the artist will write a short play inspired by something you talk about, something about you or something about your time with the artist. The artist will stir it, stretch it and sprinkle it with magic to create something just for you. Once the play is written you will be sent one hard copy of the script via post. Your play will be unique to you, the contrived muse, and you will possess the only printed and (somewhat) bound copy to display proudly, to bury with all your life savings, to burn in a ceremonial fire, to snuggle with as you drift off to sleep, or to send out to sea on the back of a whale.
This may be where the project ends or it may only be where it starts. The artist reserves all publication, production and intellectual property rights. If your play is performed or recreated you choose if you are acknowledged by name.
