About the Artist - Nadeen El Rashidy

Born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, Nadeen has always been drawn to art. From a very young age, with a pencil or a brush in her hand, her imagination took charge and ever since then she has not looked back. Over the years Nadeen has studied Art in all its forms under the guidance of many established mentors, notably Ekram Omar, wife of late artist Mamdouh Ammar, but has taken a special liking to painting and especially, and most recently, oil paints. In addition to this, Nadeen has taken countless courses at the University of the Arts in London, as well as at the International Summerschool in Venice, Italy, all of which have helped guide her in finding and developing her own style.
After graduating from the American University in Cairo with a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, Nadeen began paving her way to the lifestyle she has always wanted, finding inspiration not only in places she dreams to be, but also right where she is. Both are equally important. To her, art goes beyond being just a hobby. It is an expression of the soul. A way to communicate many emotions without having to saying a word. A way to make you think, and question everything. A way, for a moment or two, to live in another world.
