About this item
Ruben Gutierrez created this beautiful bowls, hand-turned on a laithe from whole Mesquite wood, in his garage workshop in Culver City. Approx: 3.5" x 5"
More about Ruben Gutierrez: Ruben has lived in Culver City for 27 years. When he retired from the Union 6 years ago for concrete work, his friend taught him how to turn. Now he is better than his friend, he has to humbly admit! He collects discarded wood he finds in the street and alleyways near his home, and turns them into beautiful pieces! He upgraded his laithe 3 months ago, and plans to take his old one to Guadalajara to teach the kids in the neighborhood there.
