About Julianna Ostrovsky: Julianna has been a facilitator with rDC for over 11 years. She has her MFA in Painting and Sculpture from Columbia University, and a BFA in Painting and Sculpture from the School of Art Institute of Chicago, and is a visual artist currently living in Los Angeles. A community artist whose work has been nationally and internationally exhibited, Julianna works in many media and is committed to making art a process understood and practiced by all creatures with the desire to think creatively and problem solve collectively. As a teaching artist she has instructed a range of visual arts workshops for grades K-12 and adults, including in-depth painting, mixed media, drawing studios, and summer camp workshops for youth at Otis College of Art and Design. Julianna is working hand in hand with local natural body care company, Soaptopia in a Community Arts Celebration project at Whole Foods Markets throughout California and Arizona, where she is featuring vintage cast iron bath tubs with custom murals of local cultural vignettes. A recipient of the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) Artist in Residence Cultural Grant 2014-15, Ms. Ostrovsky has worked as an Artist-in- Residence at the Skirball Cultural Center, an art educator in LAUSD, and is currently an art educator at Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and an Artist-in-Residence for PS Arts in the Santa Monica Malibu School District.
