About this item
David Hunter copper wire horse head sculpture, made in Vermont, donated by Linda Barber.
A note from the artist, "Some three decades ago, the small village of Westmore, Vermont, most known for its proximity to Lake Willoughby, updated its electric grid. In the process, wires installed during the Rural Electrification Act of 1936 were removed. One January day, on snowshoes, I collected yards of the abandoned copper wire, with the intention of incorporating it into my artwork. Fast forward years later. And this horse came to be."
