This amazing opportunity gives the winner a first pass editorial review of up to 6,000 words of an unpublished picture book, middle grade or YA manuscript (the start, or any part you need a fresh set of eyes on) and a 40-minute Zoom session to discuss the edit with award-winning children’s and YA author Rebecca Lim (on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday in May or June by mutual agreement).

Rebecca is the co-founder of the Voices from the Intersection initiative to support emerging authors and illustrators who are First Nations, People of Colour, LGBTIQ+ and/or living with disability and has mentored emerging authors for the Wheeler Centre, KYD, Allen &Unwin, Writing NSW and the MIRROR Mentorship, among other organisations.
