Omnibus Theatre - Helping to keep creativity thriving

Keeping creativity thriving - Support our Online Auction

Omnibus Theatre is an award-winning independent theatre and registered charity, proudly located in the heart of Clapham, London. In 2013, we opened our doors following a seven-year, community-led campaign that saved the historic 1889 Clapham Library. £130,000 was raised and 2,000 volunteers rallied to transform the building into a theatre for all the community. We now offer over 3,000 free arts activities every year and, in 2025, received royal patronage from the Duke of Edinburgh — the only Fringe Theatre in London to do so.

Omnibus Theatre is more than bricks and mortar — it’s a cultural lifeline.

We receive no core funding and have launched an online auction to reach our £50,000 target. Your support will:

• Maintain our historic building

• Keep tickets inclusive

• Fund new writing and emerging talent

• Power outreach and youth programmes

The online auction will close at 5pm on Thursday 6 November.  Our ten selected prizes will then be auctioned live in-person at Omnibus Theatre on the evening of 6th November.

You can still bid on all prizes online up to 5pm on 6th November but to secure your best chance of winning one of the ten selected live auction prizes you must attend the live auction. To secure your spot, please contact Hannah on projectcoordinator@omnibus-clapham.org

The top prizes are:

The Helicopter ride, the portrait painting by Jeremy O'Dwyer, Arsenal Tickets, the personalised message from Judi Dench, Victoria Percival's Diamond Ring, the Swiss Chalet, Greek Holiday Home, Naming of the Toilets, Tea for Two at the House of Lords with Lord Michael Cashman, Press Night tickets at the Old Vic, the Backstage tour of the Royal Opera House, the Sitting Clapham Muse by Bianca Smith, and the private performance from Brixton Community Gospel Choir, a week's stay in a Spanish Holiday Home, and the private London Eye Pod Experience.
