One bedroom apartment in the 7th arrondissement in Paris for one week. (Excluding the months of September or October - pending availability).

The 7th arrondissement near the Invalides, a block and a half from the Seine and the Quai d’Orsay. The rue Surcouf is a one-way two block street; number 24 lies between the rue de l’Université and the rue St. Dominique.

On the fifth floor of a 19th century 'Pierre de taille' building and has a concierge, a tiny but reliable elevator, and a courtyard with an olive tree. There is a small hallway, living room, bedroom with queen-sized bed, bath and gallery kitchen. It was renovated eight years ago. In the living room a day bed/sofa doubles as a single bed with a trundle underneath that is comfortable and can be raised to bed level, although the apartment is best for two people. It is furnished with French Provençal furniture and a few of the owner's antiques from Washington. The upholstery and curtains are silks and brocades.

The floor plan measures about 450 sq ft.

The apartment is walking distance from the OPlae de la Concorde on the right bank and the Musee d'Orsay on the left. The metro is Invalides or Tour Maubourg, with an RER stop at Invalides, and an Orly bus at the Air France building across thee way. The neighborhood is full of shops and good restaurants.
