Simon Spain trained as a printmaker and now works in a variety of medium. These works were created from digital collage transferred onto paper using a unique transfer technique. The patina in the works come from the transfer process. This element of chance is important in this series of striking portraits. Simon lives and works in Sandford in Tasmania and is creating new work in video, visual forms, books and social practice.
