Jade Irvine is an emerging artist based in nipaluna / Hobart. Jade's practice frequently touches on two main themes - landscape and increasingly, re-examining their understanding of their cultural identity and relationship to self.
Their work is informed by personal experiences, an engagement with place and a focus on the significance of small, seemingly incidental moments.
Drawing and painting are her preferred mediums, but Jade also enthusiastically dabbles with cooking and preserving fruits and vegetables when not making works.
Jade is currently completing her Honours in English and fervently researching heritage objects found in small museums in Tasmania.
