I gravitate toward living things, particularly the unhuman and the more-than-human world. I spent my early childhood in a tiny town nestled in the wilderness on the West coast of Tasmania. I'm currently based in Launceston where I study a dual bachelors in Fine Arts and History. In my practice I often draw upon dreams and memories of my childhood. These nebulous, ethereal states are surreal and emotionally charged, yet also comforting. I find I am most struck by the sublime in nature’s most ordinary places. My practice is driven by a fascination with the world around me.
