I have developed a practice rooted in the craft traditions of gold and silversmithing, informed by theory, and contextualised in art history, urban planning and architecture. This practice acknowledges my relationship with the digital technologies I use, allowing the intersections of digital tools, cities and people to be revealed I seek to capture this interaction in wearable work that is both a product of technology and human engagement. Bin's contemporary jewellery is a way of understanding our relationships and the complexity of forms and flows of built environment and digital technology. Bin has exhibited in Australia, Europe, Japan and North America and is the recipient of several awards including the Itami Award in Japan and Toowoomba Contemporary Wearables Student Prize. Bin’s work is held in public and private collections including the National Gallery of Victoria, The Art Gallery of South Australia, the RMIT McMillan Collection, the Powerhouse Museum and Musee des Artes Decoritifs (the Louvre), Paris.
