Ming is a lens-based artist who was born in China and raised in Australia.

Ming has a background in architecture and engineering. With his practice, Ming explores the notion of truth in the post-internet era. He looks closely at the quotidian and attempts to deconstruct and interrogate sociopolitical norms through his approach.

The topics Ming attempts to explore including migration, mobility, Chinese diaspora culture, belonging and identity.

With his practice, Ming utilizes various mediums such as photography, computer-generated imagery, bookmaking, programming, writing, etc. With his mixed-media approach, he develops narratives that roam between contemporary and historical, fact and fiction, fragments and totality.
