A note from the Year Four teachers.....

This Claremont College School painting is a modern, contemporary Aboriginal painting that pays homage to the Cammeraygal people of the Kuringai nation. It captures the rich history of the local area.

This painting represents the rock caves and the art within it. It contains a mixture of dark and bright colours. During the 2020 Year 4 ‘Camp at School’, students placed their hand prints all over the canvas, creating a painted version of the rock cave art.

This artwork was designed and created with the assistance of Wandana. The Wandana motto is to Inspire 2 million people through Aboriginal Education, throughout Australia by 2030.
