Jan first painted in watercolours with Jean McDonnell and went on to study oil painting under Lucy Manley. She uses strong and vibrant colours to interpret scenes from nature. Her paintings include landscapes from her cottage on Mississippi Lake, Ontario and the wild country of the Yukon.
