About the Artist

Carolyn Burchill is a multi-disciplinary artist whose creative practice is informed by a lifelong dedication to the arts. After a fulfilling 40-year career as a music specialist, Carolyn now focuses her creative energy on the piano, the ‘cello and the canvas.

She holds a Bachelor of Music from the Queensland Conservatorium, an Associate in Music (A.Mus.A) in piano, and a postgraduate degree in Visual Art from Australian Catholic University. This dual background in music and visual media allows her to approach painting with a unique understanding of rhythm and composition.

Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, Carolyn is drawn to vibrant colors and intricate patterns. Her current work finds deep inspiration in the organic patterns found in nature. Now retired and enjoying time with her grandchildren, she specializes in creating personalized commission pieces that translate her love for pattern and color into bespoke artworks for her clients.
