This is a special one. When Christophe Coppens first imagined this Gala edition, he sketched a vision of the La Monnaie Theatre overtaken by nature. The post-apocalyptic idea came with a poetic line: “Amidst blossoms, beauty takes the stage.” Peter Tuyaerts, expert décor painter from our workshops, reinterpreted Coppens’ sketch and brought it to life in this painting created as the image for the 2026 Gala.
