Bob Pennycook's painting inspiration usually comes from his surroundings. Since moving to Tweed, Ontario he only needs to step outside his front door to find source material. He lives on the edge of the Canadian Shield with almost endless lakes, rivers, rock outcroppings, minerals and rolling hills (and bears!!).

Pennycook is an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists, an artist member of CARFAC and has been a working artist since 1994.
