Dive Watch Auction

Senior Environmental and Underwater Sciences class from the Sound School in New Haven
We are searching for donations to help contribute to the cost of an academic trip we are taking to the Dutch Caribbean Island of Bonaire in May 2026!
This experience is the culmination of our multi-year scientific dive certification, of which Sound School is the only high school in the country to be a member of the American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS). This week-long trip to Bonaire will allow us to dive and collect data in the beautiful waters that are not New Haven Harbor. We will be able to use our scientific dive skills like never before - we will learn to identify local species, study biodiversity, photograph and video underwater, present research on local species, and experience some of the best diving in the world! Additionally, we will be participating in a coral restoration project that is dedicated to restoring Bonaire’s coral reefs through innovative nurseries and restoration techniques.
