About the artist:

Caoife Power (b. 1993, Eire Ireland/ 1997, Eora Sydney, Australia) lives and works in Narrm, Melbourne. Caoife is a process driven painter and poet. Caoife is interested in the language of abstract painting and how it can speak to: queer(ing), colour and environment. Her embodied position drives her way of understanding ‘wild’ subjectivity, unpacking how contemporary society can sit within the body and impact its movement through the world. Using abstraction, Caoife is not interested in resolution, but finding a point of reclamation and freedom that sits within a place of inexactness.
