Welcome to our annual winter Highland cattle sale, proudly hosted by Cal Highlands, the Highland division of Calaveras River Farms.
We are a small, family-run AHCA-registered Highland cattle program located in the California countryside, where we focus on high-quality genetics, gentle temperament, and correct conformation. All calves offered in this sale are homegrown on our ranch in Linden, California.

All calves and cattle listed are born and raised here on our ranch and handled daily.
Sale Overview
We have a limited selection of Highland cattle available, including registered heifer calves, registered bull/steer calves, and one unregistered heifer. Our calves are handled with care from day one, and young calves purchased through this auction include a scheduled farm tour visit to meet your calf in person prior to weaning.
All animals are sold within the United States only.
How to Bid
• Registration on AirAuctioneer is required
• All bidding is in USD
• Minimum bid increments will be listed on each lot
• Soft close rules apply — bidding remains open if a new bid is placed within the final 2 minutes
• Winning bidders will be contacted immediately after the auction closes
Payment Terms
• Payment is due at pickup for all weaned animals
– A 50% deposit is due within 48 hours of winning the auction
• Payments accepted: cash, credit/debit card, bank transfer, or cashier’s check
Pickup & Transport
• Local delivery is available for an added fee
• Buyers beyond 300 miles must arrange their own transport
• All animals come healthy and properly prepared to travel
• Buyers must have a safe, appropriate pen or pasture to acclimate cattle upon arrival
Guarantees
• All animals are guaranteed healthy at the time of pickup
• Registered animals include proper AHCA paperwork
• Calves will remain with their dams until weaning age (typically 4–6 months)
• We reserve the right to refuse any bid if buyer requirements are not met
