Dave Schultz got the nickname "The Hammer" for his aggressive style of play which fit nicely with the "Broad Street Bullies". Schultz won two Stanley Cups with the Flyers in 1974 and 1975 and holds the NHL record for most penalty minutes in a season with 472 minutes during the 1974-75 season.

Schultz was inducted into the Flyers Hall of Fame on November 16, 2009.
