Carly Wallace is a Dulguburra Yidinji woman from Yungaburra in Far North Queensland. She is a rainforest and freshwater woman now residing in Magandjin/Meeanjin Brisbane.

Carly, the talented artist behind Durban Bagii, is a prolific weaver whose work continues to inspire. We have her jewellery for sale in our retail store and are fortunate to have her share her skills and knowledge through weaving workshops. Carly was also a featured artist at Aboriginal Art Co's exhibition booth during the Cairns Aboriginal Art Fair, showcasing her exceptional artistry to a wider audience.

The art form of weaving was handed down to Carly from her elders and is a cultural practice she aims to keep alive by sharing her creations with people across Australia and the world.
