For the past ten years, the banks of the May River have served as a muse for Elise Kurren Hill. In attempting to capture the landscape’s changing tides and light, she finds endless color inspiration and visual interest. A studio art degree followed by a Master's in art therapy informs her highly expressive work. Utilizing layers of paint, blocks of color, and defining marks, her process strives for compositional success with reductive intent. Elise is a member of The Artists of Palmetto Bluff and credits decades of life well lived for the opportunity to “distill what matters most into what is seen, shared, and presented.”
