About this item
African wild dogs are at risk of road collisions in the Waterberg. The WWDI has installed road signage along a stretch of the R33, south of Lephalale, to warn motorists of the TOOG pack's presence in the area. Collar data from the pack enabled the WWDI to identify areas frequently used by the pack. By targeting these areas with warning signage, the WWDI hopes to raise awareness of the pack's presence in the area and reduce the risk of accidental collisions.
