David Rakia, 1928-2012
Born in Vienna Austria, immigrated to Israel in 1938, studied at Bezalel and later at the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris "Beaux Arts," lived and created in Jerusalem. David Rakia was a veteran member of the Association of Painters and Sculptors. exhibited his art in countless museums and galleries around the world.
Most of his works are based on the principles of humanism, Judaism and Zionism, his unique and original style is characterized by paintings of Jerusalem and Hebrew letters, which constitute a central symbol in his work.
