Jennifer Mullen acknowledges and pays respect to the Darramuragal people and their elders past, present and emerging, of Ku-ring-ai Country, where she lives and works. 

Jennifer is a National Art School Graduate who has been fervently painting over the past 25 years  and is deeply passionate about the environment and women in art.

Jennifer’s comment about her painting:

This was one of my first oil paintings after becoming a mum. Something about this cracked wide open seed pod resonated so deeply. Motherhood is not to be underestimated. I felt this painting above all my others was most appropriate for the Art 4 Healing fundraiser.

A Note from WJN:

The artist has generously donated this piece to our Art 4 Healing Auction, helping us to raise funds for Adult Mentoring and Youth Mentoring Programs, and ‘Healing from Within’ - a Youth creativity program that supports incarcerated young women and those ‘at risk’ in our community. Women’s Justice Network thanks the artists for their involvement.
