Bairnsley Highland Cattle Stud Stock Sale (Spring 2022)
Bairnsley has been breeding Highlands since 1996. Through our selection process and breeding, we have had a significant influence on the breed in Australia with 19 out of the last 28 AHCS National Show Grand Champion cows and bulls having their sire or dam as a Bairnsley animal.
Because of an uncanny number of female calves born in the last year (14 of 18 calves in our embryo transfer program, from AI and from natural service), we need to move some wee lassies on. So, we are reluctantly parting with some females here that we would otherwise be more than proud to retain in our fold as breeders.
All females and bulls in the sale are:
* Registered with the Australian Highland Cattle Society
* Of Fully Imported Bloodlines (FIB)
* DNA tested for proof of parentage
* Vaccinated with 7-in-1 and Pestigard
* Females are pregnancy tested in calf (if older than 2 years)
* Paddock raised and have not been pushed along with grain – they are as they are.
(Sale price includes transfer of registration with AHCS into your name.)
On farm inspections welcome on Sunday 6th November. Please contact us for a time to visit. (glen.hastie@gmail.com or 0409 196 110)
