Coleman-Brown’s large work entitled Nidum (nest) #3 highlights the increasingly common use of man-made synthetics in the architecture of birds. Her detailed, botanical-inspired coloured pencil drawings on paper have found recent recognition in the following national art competitions in 2020: Waterhouse Natural Science Art Award, Waverley Art Prize Fisher’s Ghost Art Prize, Ravenswood Women’s Art Prize and TIDAL 2.1 in 2021.
