Agent Submission Critique from author Kate Collins (#79)

A critique of a non-agented writer's agent query package for fiction, including the query letter, synopsis, and sample chapters (up to 5000 words) from novelist Kate Collins. We will discuss how to make your query letter stand out, how to make your synopsis work, and ways to make sure your sample chapters are as strong as possible.

Kate is a writer of long-form and short fiction. From West Cork, Ireland, she now lives and works in Oxfordshire. Her short fiction has been longlisted for the Bath Short Story Award 2021, and her debut novel, A GOOD HOUSE FOR CHILDREN, will be published by Serpent’s Tail in 2023. She is currently working on her second novel.
