#2 Gold Coast Dolphins Bid Jersey
About this item
Gold Coast Dolphins Bid Jersey
Size: XXL
Pit to pit: 63 cm
Excellent condition
This is a rare piece from the short-lived Gold Coast Dolphins bid in 2005. The proposed franchise unveiled this jade, orange and white design on The Footy Show as part of its launch. The colours and dolphin logo caused plenty of debate at the time, and Redcliffe Dolphins even threatened legal action over the branding. When the NRL licence was eventually awarded to the Gold Coast, the club was rebranded as the Titans, which makes this jersey an unusual collector’s item from a bid that never made it to the field.
The jersey itself is in excellent condition. The colours remain bright, the prints and logos are clear and the stitching is strong throughout. There are no visible marks or damage, and the fabric has held its shape well.
Please see the photos for an accurate view of the quality and condition.
