Greg Schramek is a woodturner residing in Weaverville, NC. Schramek was president of the Board of Directors of the American Association of Woodturners (AAW) for seven years. His primary pursuit is the promotion and growth of turning as a craft and art form so that current and future generations will continue to enjoy and appreciate wood turning at an activity level appropriate for the individual.

Schramek creates bowls, vases and platters as well as artistic pieces. In addition to forms possibly first introduced by the Greeks, his art reflects natural form reflective of the sea as well as natural forms found on land. He has also been commissioned to create furniture pieces for Ethan Allen, and many restored homes in North Carolina display his skills. Teaching is among his favorite activities. He teaches professionals and hobbyists, passing his skills to others.
