Ryan Olsen is a k-12 Art educator and artist, currently living, making and teaching high school art classes in Casper, Wyoming. He has earned degrees from Casper Community College (AFA), Utah State University (USU), Wichita State University (MFA), and been a resident at the Red Lodge Clay Center 2008-09.

“My ceramic work is mostly thrown, altered and decorated with imagery and forms born from my personal experiences. I prefer to create work that has copious amounts of volume, tactile interior and exterior surfaces, and perfectly ordinary decorations such as flowers, farm animals and western wildlife.”
