“Empress” (AKA Lu The Emperor Penguin).
She is a mixed media original painting on canvas, 60cm x 150cm x 37mm, sealed, wired and ready to hang.
If you're into nature docos like me you'll know that Emperor penguins huddle together on the ice for warmth. Each penguin snuggles up to their neighbour, with the little ones tucked in the middle for the most protection and the strongest shuffling around the edges taking turns to bear the brunt of the harsh, cold winds. Together bitter winters become more sweet.
That is the Love Your Sister village. We have each other’s backs in so many ways. And, while our researchers stand strong to find better diagnoses and treatments for cancer patients, the rest of us huddle them so they can better protect our friends and families from cancer in the future.
