Kim Evans, retired AU Women’s Golf Coach and Special Assistant to the Vice President of Student Affairs at Auburn University. Coach Evans serves on various cancer boards around the region and regularly works with the Auburn student veteran population, volunteering her time to head the annual Auburn Veterans Golf Classic, and offering educational golf clinics that pair community leaders with student veterans.

Coach Evans led the Tigers to eight (8) SEC Championships, including number one rankings, top 10 finishes in the NCAA Championship, and 94 top-three finishes in 223 tournaments. In all, Evans has coached seven (7) SEC Golfers of the Year, (6) SEC Freshmen of the Year, 29 All-Americans and 57 All-SEC performance awards.(Not including academic awards).

Evans was awarded the NGCA National Coach of the Year in 2002 and was inducted into the Golf Coaches Hall of Fame. She was also named SEC Coach of the Year (5) separate times.

Evans was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in May 2013, just before the Tigers were set to begin post-season play. She went through multiple surgeries and chemotherapy at the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB) and has been cancer-free since September 2013. She retired from coaching and Auburn University to spend more time with family, health and charity.
