Mawimbi Bush camp is a luxury tented camp in a stunning location on the West bank of the Kafue river in the central area of the Park.  

Four large and uniquely styled canvas tents located on the river bank ensure your ultimate exclusivity. Each has its own en-suite outdoor bathroom with a hand wash basin and bucket shower that is supplied with hot water on demand and an ecologically designed “green” toilet.

All of the tents are fully mosquito proofed, with two beds in the main area of the tent with a covered entrance veranda overlooking the river for perfect game viewing and relaxing.

The tent is tastefully furnished with all basic necessities and decorated in subtle African themes.

A large main area on the river bank offers stunning views and all the comforts you would expect in a luxury bush camp.  

The main activity offered is canoeing through an amazing variety of habitats and breathtaking scenery – sometimes fast and exciting and sometimes lazy and leisurely.  Wilderness game walks or game drives by vehicle in the Kafue National Park are organized every morning and afternoon for those not wishing to brave the canoeing and are a must for all lovers of the African bush. Of course, there is a huge variety of bird life that awaits exploring as well as fishing for many different species of fish by lure or fly.

Two nights fully inclusive comprising all meals, snacks, hot drinks,  laundry and one activity per night stayed.  The package excludes Park fees and bar drinks and transfers to and from the lodge.  T&C's apply: the nights are not redeemable on the weekends starting October the 15th, October the 25th and November 29th (2019) or Christmas and New Year.  All bookings are subject to availability and if not redeemed this year can be redeemed in 2020 but not beyond.
