Passion Painting -"Jesus Carrying His Cross" Signed by - Actor Jim Caviezel & Artist Danny Galieote

Actor Jim Caviezel (Passion of the Christ, Sound of Freedom) and artist Danny Galieote have both signed this original oil painting, making it a very special, one-of-a-kind piece.

Danny has donated his recent oil painting of "Jesus Carrying His Cross", which depicts Jim Caviezel as Jesus in Mel Gibson’s epic film The Passion of the Christ.  This film, Jim admits, would not have been the same without the extreme insight and acting talents imbued within his scenes through the guidance of the great John Kirby, Hollywood’s premier acting coach. Since our beloved John has been diagnosed with ALS, we have all been gathering around in support and doing all we can do to help him cover his astronomical health care costs. 

Danny Galieote is an internationally acclaimed artist whose paintings hang in prestigious collections around the world, including those of Hollywood royalty and the Hilbert Museum of California Art, which has many of his major works in their permanent collection.

His work is inspired by the greats of the Italian Renaissance and the American Regionalists of the 1930s and 40s.  He has had many successful exhibitions in New York, Boston, Los Angeles and Laguna Beach. His main gallery is Maxwell Alexander Gallery in Pasadena, California.

Besides being a painter, Danny has been involved with Hollywood since his early years as an artist. He trained as a traditional character animator and animated key moments in a dozen Disney classic films, including The Lion King, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Tarzan, Atlantis, Treasure Planet, Princess and the Frog and Tangled.
