"Staying Grounded" - Katie White

Katie White received her BFA in Illustration from Washington University in St. Louis and currently resides in Tampa, Florida. Having grown up near Atlantic beaches, Katie is drawn to the horizon, a focal point in many of her pieces. She finds inspiration in the quiet pause at the end of the day when the sun sinks into the water. Her work inspires a variety of emotions, some paintings greeting viewers with a soft, serenity while other works utilize bolder colors in telling a story all their own. Katie has been a professional artist for the past 6 years. In addition to her studio practice, she leads watercolor workshops and retreats, connecting with people across the country.
