Helen Taverna has been creating chainmail jewelry for over 15 years. Following careers in marketing, media, and interior design, she found her passion for the ancient Celtic craft of interweaving metal links while taking a jewelry class. The process involves weaving rings into various patterns dating back to the Celtic creations of 300 BC. Today, her distinctive pieces utilize multiple forms of metal–from precious to aluminum–and include semi-precious stones and crystals for an infusion of color. In combining these materials, the unique patterns take on a life of their own.
