About this item
'When the smoke drifted in... (endangered and vulnerable flora, Blue Mountains)', 2020, acrylic on canvas, 50.8cm x 61cm
Cynanchum elegans, darwinia peduncularis, epacris muelleri, epacris longiflora and eucalyptus burgessiana. The botanical names of the vulnerable and endangered flora are not as instantly recognisable as those of native fauna in the Blue Mountains region. However, when the smoke drifted in these plants would have been impacted too.
