Shiraz's artmaking is an intensively private affair, closing himself off in the studio and taking his time to revel in the creative process. He becomes caught up in the artmaking, devoting himself in devout concentration to achieve his master work and often leaving it for a time before coming back to consider the piece further.

Greyhounds are invited to participate in creating artworks as a form of enrichment. Enrichment activities are excellent to help rescued hounds develop confidence and decision-making skills. Money raised from the sale of artworks assists with the high costs of rescuing, rehabilitation, and rehoming greyhounds.
