Riks' work explores the concept of time as a construct, a deliniation, demarcation. A depiction of ephemera, slowly dissipating into nothing as time marches on. Then an awakening. The bursting forth of energy and as-yet unrealised potential. Existence as a part of an ever-changing landscape of opportunity and promise.

Greyhounds are invited to participate in creating artworks as a form of enrichment. Enrichment activities are excellent to help rescued hounds develop confidence and decision-making skills. Money raised from the sale of artworks assists with the high costs of rescuing, rehabilitation, and rehoming greyhounds.
