Item #16 Fused and Slumped Glass Plate

Description: This 6” x 6” glass plate was made by using 96 COA orange and clear glass to create a double helix strand via two colors of fine fruit glass. The pieces were first fused with a second firing to create the shape. 

About the Creator: Deb first learned to create stained glass pieces when she was in high school. She kept up the hobby throughout her genetic counseling career. She finds it quite therapeutic to break glass. When she retired, she began learning additional glass techniques including blowing glass, kiln carved glass, fishing and slumping.
