Using Arrowmont's Ruth Barrett Smith Staff House as inspiration, Jeana Eve Klein used digital photo manipulation to print custom fabrics on recycled textiles. Assembled in quilt-like squares, Klein added hundreds of colorful, hand-embroidered French knots across the composition. Jeana Eve Klein lives in Boone, North Carolina and is an associate professor of Fibers at Appalachian State University. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including recent solo exhibitions at the Charleston Heights Arts Center in Las Vegas, Nevada and OZ Arts in Nashville, Tennessee. She is a 2014 recipient of the North Carolina Arts Council Craft Artist Fellowship.
