Decorator:  Kasey Carroll

The large trees, ranging from 5 to 7 feet tall, are beautifully adorned and include all staging items.

Imagine stepping back into the 1950s and 60s, an era where tattooing broke through social barriers and found its way into mainstream culture, shaping the artistry we know today. The “Tattooed Tidings” tree celebrates this pivotal time, decked out in true mid-century style. With shiny aluminum branches and pops of bold color, it’s a nod to the kitschy trees of the era—those silver and pink spectacles glowing beneath the light of a color wheel.

This tree merges the nostalgia of holiday cheer with the edgy creativity of tattoo art, taking inspiration from the Sailor Jerry-style designs that became iconic in the 50s. Swallows, hearts, and bold roses hang as ornaments, while vintage tattoo flash patterns fill in the details, all evoking the classic Americana that tattooing embodied back then.

“Tattooed Tidings” is more than a festive tree; it’s a celebration of a decade that tattoo artists and enthusiasts alike continue to draw from. Just as these trees brightened family gatherings with their unique style, tattoos began brightening lives as wearable art, symbols of identity, and expressions of individuality. This tree is a tribute to the timelessness of both.
