Highland Elementary is a Leader in Me School which consists of our students and staff adopting the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People from the work of Stephen Covey to guide our students toward positive character development. Students at Highland Elementary have a variety of opportunities to participate in many extracurricular activities. All of these programs encourage social and emotional growth. We have chosen to participate in the Festival of Trees and Trains to provide our students a team building opportunity. We not only want our students to be given school related opportunities but also the opportunity to participate in community service projects. We hope once our students leave the elementary school setting, that they are equipped with the leadership skills needed to become successful in future endeavors.
