Personal & Executive Coaching
About this item
Carolyn works as a personal and executive coach. There are many reasons people seek the help of an executive coach, some of these are;
- Gaining clarity over your future career path/re-entering the workforce
- Self-development for promotional opportunities
- A new job that requires different skills
- Wanting to better manage yourself and/or other people
- Developing specific skill sets, e.g. strategic thinking, communication, leadership
- Addressing what keeps holding you back from achieving your ideal, e.g. self-confidence, lack of energy, focus, poor working/life habits
Personal coaching is for anyone who is keen to move forward rather than stay where they are. Personal coaching will help reconnect you with what you truly value, get clarity over what it is you want to be doing and address what is holding you back. Coaching can then help you create a clear plan and keep you accountable to make sure it happens.
Executive Coaching: For leaders and executives, coaching provides a confidential space for you to raise your key issues, develop your own self-awareness and grow yourself as a leader. In addition to leadership skills, having focussed time with a coach can also help executives/leaders more effectively manage the competing demands on their time and energy, having a positive impact on career success, longevity and overall health and well-being.
My Approach: I begin each coaching engagement with a few ways to get to know you; some self-assessments, a questionnaire, and a friendly chat, giving you the opportunity to ask me any questions as well as gather information about your current situation and future hopes. My approach centres around firstly identifying and aligning yourself with what you truly value and feel passionate about. This provides focus, motivation, and clarity. Secondly, building on the best of what you already have. We all have strengths and have experienced success. Understanding what these strengths are and how you have contributed to your successes provides an excellent launching pad for moving you forward. And thirdly, learning how to better manage yourself, so you have the fuel in your tank needed to pursue your goals. You can have the greatest of plans, but if you do not have the time or energy to execute these, you will not get very far!
I believe that each person is creative and uniquely gifted and the expert in his/her own life. Each person has their own set of resources and coaching should be an empowering process of discovering what these are and how to maximize them. Through the process of coaching, I work in partnership with you to determine what it is you are keen to achieve and discover creative solutions to keep moving you forward.

Testimonies
“My session with Carolyn was so helpful! I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it was not this. It was organized and structured with a clear goal for the session. I left with a clear pathway to reach my goals, where beforehand I wasn't even sure what my goals were, let alone how to get there. Carolyn was professional and timely, as well as relatable and kind. I would highly recommend her!” Maggie
“Carolyn’s coaching style is very warm and relational. She is discerning and insightful, tailoring each session to my coaching goals, often spontaneously. Carolyn is highly organized and communicated exceptionally well...I felt heard, understood, challenged and stretched”. Kelli
“I....have felt more energized and inspired this afternoon than I have felt in weeks, months. Thank you!” Rachel
