From the artist: Created in an Art Therapy workshop setting called Learning from the Masters, we were inspired by Van Gogh’s life and art, living through mental illness and channeling his profound struggles into creative expression. This collection of artworks delves into the intersection of beauty and pain, showcasing how creativity can serve as a powerful outlet for processing emotions, finding solace, and connecting with the self. Participants explored Van Gogh’s techniques, such as his bold brushstrokes, vibrant colors, and emotive landscapes, while also engaging in reflective practices that honored their personal journeys. Each piece tells a unique story of resilience, illustrating how art can transform inner turmoil into healing and hope. Through this exhibition, we invite you to witness not only the artistic inspiration drawn from Van Gogh but also the courage and vulnerability of those who dared to express their truths through the canvas.
